Oh my gosh it's been over a week since I posted here! I've been a busy busy girl! I have a new scrapping toy (cue big brass band intro)....ta dah!! I finally bit the bullet and purchased a Quickutz Silhouette SD electronic cutter! This machine is absolutely AWESOME!!! Freedom to cut whatever font lives in my computer (or on the net come to think of it!) Freedom to cut any dingbat I get my hands on. Design your own files! Easy purchase whatever design you like in their gallery instead of cartridges you may not use everything from! I will be posting some pics of some of the cards and pages I have been playing with (soooo many functions to this machine!!!) You can design on your computer, store to SD card and cut or CUT AND PRINT later! Handy handy handy!

Simply go to the Twiddleybitz NING site HERE and sign up before 30th September 2009, post a link from your own blog to their site and you are in the running to win one of 3 free stuff packs (YAY! A Project Finished...

G'day all. Well I haven't quite finished the canvas yet (the weather isn't really the greatest to be playing with crackle mediums!) but I did finish a project that has been sitting on my desk for eons. YAY for me! It's the summer fun sandcastle shaped mini book. I have posted some pics in here and I have set a slide show for you to see it in detail over there >>>> on the right hand side of the blog.

I used a Kaisercraft castle shaped wooden album (if you are gonna do a mini book, why not make it an interesting shape I say!), some slightly older (but still yummy) papers from my stash - I am thinking some of these are sandylion papers - prima flowers, buttons, crocheted flowers, chipboard, oodles of kaiser bling, ric rac, dies (a mix of sizzix, quickutz, and cuttlebug embossing folders), buttons, kaiser and heidi grace rub ons, kindyglitz, stickles, adorn it alphas and the most important thing of all - mod podge! Ok, I could have said I threw my embellishment box at it but it isn't as much fun as trying to list it all!
It's a windy and wet day here so I am rugging up, finishing the wench-work (ironing YUK!!!) and settling down for a nice long SCRAP.
TFL and take care. Cx

So Many Projects...So Little Time!

Hey all.. I have sat down at my desk to finish a series of mini easels I have done of my family...everyone now has one except for yours truly here (isn't that always the way!) As you can see, I have gotten as far as sitting at my desk, then I thought why not share some pics of one or two of the canvases first...

This one is my young son.I have used Ranger Distress Crackle paint, sizzix die cuts, and denim ribbon all on a cute 8cm x 6cm tiny canvas on wooden easel.
This one is middle daughter. Again I have used sizzix die cuts, Ranger distress crackle paint, some chipboard flower shapes and tiny prima flowers
This is my eldest daughter. Again I have used sizzix die cuts, bossKuts flourish, wooden die cut hearts, more lashings of crackle paint (bit addicted by now!) and prima flowers.
I have done one of my hubby but I will post that one up when I complete mine tonight..(and don't even get me started on the sandcastle minibook and the 5 or 6 half completed layouts STILL staring at me...)
TFL .. Cx

Ta dah!! Here it is! My first post!

Well, here it is. I have finally started a blog. "About time!" is what a few of my friends are saying. So, thanks to a kick up the pants from the wonderful Wendy (LOL), and very (ahem) subtle hints from Jenae, here it is!

My first love was cardmaking (many many moons ago!!) and it evolved into scrapbooking. I have a wonderful husband, 3 terrific children and I also work part-time, so I thought this little blog burrow could be a little slice of "me" time. A place to sit, relax, and chat about my latest projects, new products and techniques and all things scrappy.

This is a birthday card I made for Wendy. Happy Birthday Wendy!! Now everyone can share in your special day :-) I have also posted this card in the quickutz community gallery, which you can find here. I have used Quickutz central park font, RW Lasercuts, Martha Stewart border punch, Perfect Pearls, and Inkssentials Crackle Accents

This next page was a class I recently taught at the lovely Jenae's store Scrapbooks from The Heart.

We had a lot of fun with glimmermists, inks, old pieces of cardboard, buttons and the handy sizzix sidekick to cut the flower layers out.

This page I have put in the blog purely because I like it :-)

My two girls...aren't they sweet...?

Anyways, thanks for having a little look at my blog and hope you come back soon! New layouts will be added soon! Promise! Thanks for Looking. C x
